Waterproofing
Waterproofing
Comprehensive waterproofing that combines exterior barrier protection with interior water management to keep your home dry year-round.

About Our Waterproofing Service
Waterproofing is the umbrella our work is built around. For a home in Danbury and the surrounding towns, water is the single biggest threat to the foundation and the finished spaces below grade. Our waterproofing service looks at the whole picture — how water moves across your lot, how it presses against the foundation wall, and where it can get in — and puts layered protection in place so the structure stays dry and sound. We pair exterior barrier work with interior management so that even in a heavy Connecticut spring thaw or summer storm, your basement is not the path of least resistance.
Signs You May Need This
- Damp spots or efflorescence (white powder) on foundation walls
- Musty, humid basement air that lingers after rain
- Water staining at the base of the wall or along the floor joint
- Peeling paint or bubbling on below-grade walls
What Causes It
- Hydrostatic pressure pushing groundwater through the wall and floor
- Poor lot grading that directs runoff toward the foundation
- Ageing or missing exterior waterproofing membrane
- Clogged or absent perimeter and footing drains
How We Approach It
Exterior membrane + drainage
We excavate along the foundation, apply a dimpled waterproofing membrane to the wall, and install or renew a footing drainage layer so water is carried away rather than held against the concrete.
Interior management
Where exterior access is limited, we add an interior perimeter drain and sump system to capture water that gets through and move it out before it reaches the floor.
Surface water control
Grading, downspout extensions, and yard drainage corrections keep runoff from pooling against the foundation in the first place.
Things to Consider
The right waterproofing approach depends on how water reaches your home, the condition of the existing barrier, and whether exterior excavation is practical. We assess the lot, the foundation, and the interior together before recommending a plan — there is no single fix that fits every house.
